Baby Squirrel Learnt a Lesson
Mrs Squirrel had a baby squirrel. She
was quite worried because animals like snakes and eagles wanted to eat her
baby.
“Listen, my dear child. Don’t
you ever come out of your nest when i’m not around!” said Mrs Squirrel to her
baby.
“Okay Mum, I’ll listen to your
advice. I promise not to come out of the
nest when are not around.” Said the baby squirrel.
One day, Mrs Squirrel had to go
out to look for food. “Take care of yourself and stay in your nest.” Advised the mother Squirrel.
“Yes mummy.” Answered the baby
squirrel obediently. The baby squirrel dared not leave the nest.
Baby squirrel knew that there
were many dangers in the jungle. She hoped that her mother would bring back
delicious food.
Soon, Mrs squirrel came back. She
was happy to see her daugther safe. They ate together and enjoyed the food.
The Mother squirrel had to go
into the jungle again. She advised the baby squirrel not to leave her nest. “Yes
Mummy,” answered the baby squirrel.
After the while, a monkey came to
the baby squirrel and invited her to play. The monkey looked very cheerful.
In the beginning, the baby
squirrel was quite reluctant. But after a while, she agreed. She disobeyed her
mother.
Both, the baby squirrel and
monkey stared to play happily. They did not notice the presence of a hungry eagle nearby. Finally, the eagle decides to attack and eat the baby squirrel. The
eagle pounced on the baby squirrel.
Coincidentally, the mother
squirrel came back and saw her baby in danger. The mother squirrel climbed onto
the eagle’s head and scratched the eagle’s ayes.
The eagle was in pain. He let go
of the baby squirrel. Mother squirrel, quickly grabbed her baby and left the
place.
The baby squirrel was very sad
and regretted what had happened. She promised to obey her mother’s instructions
in future.
